A downloadable game

There are some issues with the demo I am resolving. Downloads have been halted temporarily until I can get it fixed.

This is a demo for the upcoming game Alex Hill: Whispers at White Oak Inn.

Ever since a young woman died in an accident at the White Oak Inn, strange things have been happening there. Now, her spirit roams the inn, and an employee is receiving threatening letters. What dark secrets wait to be found? You, as Alex Hill, are on the case.

  • Follow Alex in her story as she cracks the case!
  • Solve puzzles and find clues in an haunted inn.
  • Explore and interact with the environment like classic point and click games
  • Talk to interesting characters as you discover who the culprit is.

Game Elements:

  • First Person, Point and Click
  • Cozy Detective Mystery
  • Challenging Puzzles
  • Interesting Characters
  • Beautiful Environments
  • Rich Storyline and Dialogue

Alex Hill is a first person point and click mystery game largely inspired by the Nancy Drew PC games along with other games like Dust: A Tale of the Wired West, King's Quest and Life is Strange.

Alex Hill is primarily a cozy detective game with some spooky elements. It takes inspiration from classic point-and-click games where your character comments on and interacts with the environment.

The game looks decent, although it feels poorly optimized. My computer was running as if this was a AAA game running on max graphical settings. If you can get the game to run without using up all the computer's resources, that would be ideal. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the feedback! You're right, the models I used in the demo were performance heavy. I'm currently finishing up switching to a different system for the animations and models to optimize it.

Thanks for checking it out!

I got the chance to play an early version of the full game and guys get ready, because it's so gooooood! There are fun puzzles (including some that are quite challenging), and the characters have fully fleshed out agendas and actions. I'm a huge fan of nancy drew games and this absolutely fulfilled that for me. Especially if you aren't feeling the most recent nancy drew games, this one has classic vibes.
There are some super great parts to this game I wish I could say but *spoilers* :D So just try it out because it's super great! Sorry everyone else has to wait a little bit longer for it to come out xD

Absolutely like the vibe of nancy, glad to see people still interested into making nancy-style games. But imo one of the main aspects that make nancy drew so great is highly detailed locations. Wish too see it here as well. However the outside of inn looks mysterious and totally nancy-styled one. If there were a game between Stay tuned for danger and Message in a haunted mansion it would be Whispers at White Oak Inn! Also have to say that characters are so well done and so well animated, I can see a huge potential in what you are doing. Wish you a great inspiration and smooth way to release!

Thank you for checking it out and thanks for the feedback! <3

AHHH!! I just played the latest update! I really enjoyed the last one, but this update, especially with the puzzle and voice acting is so fun! I can't wait for character development and more scenery. It's beautiful!

Yay!! I’m glad you enjoyed it! ☺️

I just played the demo, and I love the premise! I can definitely see the Nancy Drew inspo, and I'm all for point-and-click games! This is a fantastic start to the game, and I especially LOVE the setting of the inn. I'll have to check out the Indiegogo campaign!

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked it so far! ^_^

This is awesome! What a great start! I'm super stoked to see how this develops. I am a long time fan of the Nancy Drew games, and this scratches an itch the way only cozy detective point and click games can. I love Alex's personality, and the scenery is beautiful! Great work, I'm so excited for this and I'd love to support you any way I can!

Wow, thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I appreciate the support! :D

Can't wait to be able to share more! <3
